I'm a musician and a writer, a mother and a friend. I like to eat out or cook in, gardening in summer and curling up with the NY Times in winter. I love a good movie, a great Broadway musical, the opera or live theater and a good laugh. Most of all, I like a good meal and, better than wine, a good companion goes well with all of the above. Although I've learned that I am my own best friend, I have the joy of many friends and I would truly like to share them with the right person. It would be nice to meet someone (live, and in person). Long distance relationships leave a lot to be desired.

Whether a dinner or coffee, it would be a quiet, intimate place where we would have privacy. First anythings are usually a bit awkward but it helps if there is a nice atmosphere. It's good to keep it light and not expect too much. Just give it a chance because it takes time to loosen up and people do it at their own pace. It's fun just to try and to see what happens. It's called "testing the waters".

There's always something new and I suppose I would like to try learning Italian. I love the country and the sound of the language and I never seem to take the time to actually do it. Maybe I will. Also, I'd like to take more art lessons. I have a deep love for beauty and art and love to try to duplicate what or who I admire. When I am at a lecture, I usually end up sketching the speaker or one of the audience members on the periphery of my notebook. It looks as if I'm taking notes so no one suspects I am drawing them. I do my best work on margins.

To contribute something to my world. I am an advocate for children in guardianship cases. I also have had the challenge of writing a musical and performing in it. I've had other musical comedy roles in small productions and it is a great to entertain and bring some joy into the world. I have a great family and have fun with them. Life is good and would be better sharing it with a terrific companion.

Going to Stratford, Ontario and seeing plays, eating in a great restaurant with wine and friends, talking about what we have just seen. Singing in a choir is great fun, riding a bike on a cool summer morning or swimming and splashing around with my grand kids or significant male figure.
