I Would Describe Myself As

I'm a writer and artist and think of myself as both a softie and a warrior. I'm still discovering things about myself that surprise me - it's a journey, really. Getting older hasn't made me tougher; if anything, I'm more tender than ever. I'm passionate about and protective of the underdog - the vulnerable/ defenseless/ voiceless. I dislike bullies and narcissists and do what I can to avoid them, if I recognize them in time. I enjoy thrillers, especially British, French, and Scandinavian series and would love to learn another language; besides English I speak some Hebrew and Afrikaans. On my bucket list? Learning to ski and scuba dive, which I've been longing to do for ages, not sure why I've waited. After watching 'My Octopus Teacher' I fell in love with the ocean and those magical creatures. I once snorkeled in the Red Sea and thought it might be quite cool to be a fish. Life would be short and fraught but weightless, so colorful. I love food and believe that sharing a meal should be a sensory experience, as the aromas and tastes of good food and wine are up there with life's other great moments.
